Nashville Songwriting Contest

Songwriters enter your best Country Song into our song search and win a free recording session and chance to perform in Nashville, exposure of your song to influential Nashville executives, two nights lodging in Nashville, and limousine transportation. Songs will be heard and judged by the Junction Staff along with Nashville songwriters, producers, publishers, and record executives. All songs have potential to be placed with a publisher, sung by a Nashville recording artist, or even get signed to a recording contract. For this reason we really didn't want to call this a song competiton or songwriting contest. We are looking for undiscovered or forgotten country music songwriters, who can write a song that has staying power. Most songwriting contests we've seen offer great prizes but what does that do for the songwriter's career and what happens to the song. Have you noticed in the country music charts, you hardly remember any of the top hits of 6 months ago? That's what we mean by staying power. The Music City Song Search was started to promote great country music songs and songwriters, songs that will be remembered not only 6 months from now, but country songs that will be played in bars for years to come. Song contest, Songwriters contest, songwriting competition just didn't sound right for us, because we are searching for songs and songwriters who are wanting a chance to be heard and maybe get some recognition for thier work. If you are a country music songwriter or country music entertainer that writes their own songs and looking for a way to get your music in front of the right people to be heard and given a fair shot, or dreamed of what it would be like to be a Country Music Star, well here is your chance. Winner will brought by limousine to the Junction Recording Studio for the recording session, then taken to the Nashville Palace to perform the winning song, then it's off to Broadway to sing on stage at the World Famous Tootsies Orchid Lounge. The Junction Recording Studio's Music City Song Serach welcomes all country music songwriters!

EXTENDED TO MARCH 31, 2008 for your chance to win:

1. Master Recording Session: Winning song recorded in the studio with record producer, musicians, vocalists, engineers and all materials for recording session. You can either sing the song yourself or have one of the studio vocalist sing it for you. You will receive a master for pressing and a copy of the trax for karaoke.

2. Sing On Stage in Downtown Nashville: After your recording session you will sing to the tracks of your song on stage of the NASHVILLE PALACE, then on to TOOTSIE'S for your chance to perform on BROADWAY in the shadows of the Ryman. TOOTSIE'S only allows live music so if you perform you will need to choose a song the band knows.

3.Limousine Service: Limousine service provided by SEDAN ON DEMAND from hotel to studio for session, from studio to hotel, from hotel to your performances in downtown Nashville, and back to hotel.

4. Lodging: Stay for two nights in Nashville on us. Hotel accommodations for two persons only.

5. Submission Of Your Song: Your song heard by publishers, record producers, up and coming artists, and record labels in Nashville.

6. Pay Per Download Site: Your song will be listed on one of our pay per download sites.

1. For the purpose of this contest we are only accepting songs in the Country Music genre.

2. For your protection and ours we ask that the song you submit has been copyrighted or sent 
to the Library of Congress to be copyrighted.  This is not requirement but those who send in
non-copyrighted works  understand that they may not hold Junction Recording Studio or any one
involved with Music City Song Search harmless or liable for any infringement of rights of
the song submitted.

3. Songwriter(s) submitting song is not exclusive ( staff song writer ) with a publishing company and the song being 
submitted is non published.

4. You acknowledge that you are at least 21 years of age.

5. Songs can be submitted with either full band or just guitar or piano vocal.  Please do not
 submit vocal only demos. Submissions will not be returned so DO NOT SEND YOUR ONLY MASTER COPY.

6. Submitter(s) acknowledge(s) full ownership and rights to song.  Furthermore it is agreed that
for the purpose of this song search submitter gives the Junction Recording Studio rights to exploit
song for use in promotion for the contest, seek publishing contract, or place the song in any means
to be recorded.  I understand that any song submitted may be placed with a publisher and
the Junction Recording Studio will have the right to represent submitted writer(s) and song for this purpose.  I understand that I will retain any writer's royalties for the song if placed with publisher.

7. Submit CD, Cassette, or upload MP3 copy of your song (UPLOAD CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE) along with two copies <br>
of printed or typed lyrics
 along with an entry fee payment of $35.00 US funds.  Payments to be made through PAYPAL , Cashier's Check or Money Order only.  Make payments to the Junction Recording Studio.  We will not accept poems or give refunds.

8. Songs will be judged by the Junction Staff and established Nashville Songwriters, Publishers,
Record Producers, and Record Executives as will as public voting.

9. Payment and Song submission must be received or post marked by MARCH 31, 2008.

10. Winner will be announced on MAY 16, 2008.

11. WInner must schedule recording session before JUNE 1st, 2008.

12. I understand that my song may be posted on the internet for broadcast and will not receive
royalties for this or any other promotional broadcast for the Music City Song Search.

13. I understand that if my submission is signed by a publisher that I will have to  join a performance rights organization (BMI, ASCAP, or SESAC) and that those fees are not included with entry fee or to be
paid by the Junction Recording Studio.  Please acknowlegde if you are a current member of BMI, ASCAP, or SESAC.

14. Submitter(s) shall indemnify the Junction Recording Studio and hold staff, officers, directors,
shareholders, employees, agents, representatives including, without limitation the Junction Recording
Studio's attorneys, harmless from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, damages, liability,
 costs and expenses (including attorneys' and other professional fees) arising out of or in connection
with any bodily injury, death, or loss of or damage to property which occurs in connection with any
performance or action rendered or to be rendered by submitter(s) during this agreement unless same is
caused by the tortuous conduct of the Junction Recording Studio or any employee or agent.

15. Submitter agrees that during and after submission of song with the Junction Recording Studio, or its
entireties, not in any fashion, form, or manner to divulge, disclose, or communicate to any person, firm,
or corporation, any information relating to the operation, practices, or manner in which business is operated.

16. I understand that the entry guidelines are subject to change without notice and I understand that I will be
bound to those terms as well as the ones that I accept of this agreement as of DECEMBER 26th, 2007
